    "Applied theatre as a training method. Art is an important form of self-expression and social commentary. Art engages people, captures the zeitgeist, entrains or challenges assumptions.     “The ability to adequately respond to dynamic and unpredictable business environments represents a determinant factor that will lead teams not only to maintain, but to increase their performance levels.   • Collaboration Without Character? Improv Shows The Cracks

    Teamwork has long been recognized as a key element of organizational success, with research showing its ability to boost innovation, productivity, and employee engagement. Studies in organizational behavior reveal that diverse teams outperform homogeneous groups by using different perspectives to solve complex problems. However, the promise of teamwork also comes with challenges.

    The first step is discovering – learning to recognize the behaviors that make up Collaboration, outlined in Table 1, and observing how they show up in yourself and others. Although all the behaviors can be seen daily, they surface very quickly in improv workshops. In my EMBA Strategy class, I use improvisation to help students grasp that strategic agility relies on organizational agility, which in turn rests on individual agility……..

  • Creative Leadership: What Business Leaders Can Learn from Improv

    At its core, improvisation is a communication and collaboration-based art form. It’s like a team sport. It’s about showing up fully for others, supporting your teammates, and ultimately creating trust amongst the team.

    Aside from building trust, improving agility, and developing adaptability, improvisation strengthens a skillset that helps leaders postpone judgment.
