Professional Development for Businesses and Organizations

Change is inevitable. Adaptability is a skill.

We offer workshops and training using applied improvisation and experiential learning to strengthen communication, collaboration, leadership, and adaptability. Our events prepare your team to navigate uncertainty together.

Why Improv?

We use games, challenges and other applied improvisation exercises to strengthen the critical skills that help teams thrive. Our workshops create a safe environment to experiment, make mistakes, receive feedback, and build confidence before those skills are needed most in the workplace where learning often happens with real consequences.

In our workshop, we develop a shared mental model for:

  • Clear Communication

  • Mindful Collaboration

  • Adaptive Leadership

  • Creative problem-solving

  • Psychological safety

Your Experience…

Your team will engage in practical, interactive exercises that explore and develop a roadmap for how to handle uncertainty, solve novel problems, learn quickly, develop interpersonal adaptability and increase emotional resilience. Improvisation intentionally places participants into uncertain situations where adaptability is practiced repeatedly. Our workshops give your team a shared mental model for thoughtful and productive collaboration.

Our approach

Every team is different. Your workshop should be too.

Our partnership begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand your team, your goals, your culture, and the challenges you're navigating before recommending the workshop experience that's right for you.

From there, we can thoughtfully match your organization with the facilitators, activities, and learning experiences best suited to help your team achieve meaningful results.

How we work

Experiential learning backed by proven practice.

We build communication, leadership, or collaboration skills by practicing them.

Using applied improvisation as the vehicle, we design engaging experiential learning activities that allow participants to experiment, reflect, adapt, and apply new skills in real time. Every workshop is informed by established learning frameworks, including experiential learning theory, and is intentionally designed around your organization's goals. Every activity has a clear purpose and a direct connection to your team's day-to-day work.

Participants leave with practical skills, shared language, and actionable insights they can immediately bring back to their workplace.

What People Are Saying

“…we are bringing “yes, and…” into our team meetings and even into our thought-partnerships as we're creating performances, coming up with shows and coming up with songs. That openness and that kind of collaboration, and bouncing off each other, that comes from improv, has fused its way into really blossoming the creativity on our team, and so there's just gifts that keep on giving!”

Every investment in your team is an investment in our community

When you partner with improv to impact, you're doing more than developing your people.

You're helping create opportunities for young people discovering their voice, adults rebuilding confidence after experiencing homelessness, refugees adjusting to life in a new country, and community members who might otherwise never have access to communication and leadership training.

As the social enterprise arm of it's improv, every corporate workshop helps make these experiences possible.
